Stretching keeps muscles flexible, strong and healthy. Shoulder stretches, in particular, can help you maintain balance among the muscles surrounding the shoulders and upper back.
In our latest video, Dr. Smith demonstrates three simple shoulder stretches that you can do at home. Hold each one for 30 seconds and repeat on both sides.
The first one is a pec stretch. Extend your arm out and push through your shoulder.
The delt stretch is the second one. Bring your arm across your chest and stretch it.
The third stretch is the tricep stretch. Raise your arm overhead and bend it, so your hand touches your back. Keep your elbows up.
